PAN TILT ZOOM PTZ CAMERAS

Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) cameras are capable of remote directional and zoom control. The name PTZ reflects the movement options available when using the camera, they are also known colloquially as robotic or robo cameras.

PTZ cameras are built so the camera and lens move together, panning and tilting to allow the camera to capture content behind and to the side of its position, and zooming in and out of view to enhance the image quality.  With built-in firmware for auto-focusing the camera’s optical lens auto-adjusts zooming in and out to stabilise the image’s pixel size to create a clear image.

PTZ cameras follow movement through autotracking technology and can be controlled remotely by an operator in a different location.

PTZ cameras can be installed on a variety of surfaces including ceiling mounted, lecturns and tabletop surfaces.
